Sunday evening, I had dinner with my assistant from last year, Ada Chiu. I didn't know it at the time, but Ada was expecting during last year's camp; her son, Shaun, was born in January. (I've forgotten Ada's husband's name.) Ada's parents-in-law run a restaurant so her father cooked a delicious meal.
To Ada's baby, I was introduced as Jeff suk-suk (Uncle Jeff). They told me I was getting some early practice at being a grandfather.
