Day One of The Student English Camp
(Posted by Audrey) Today was the first day with kids at the camp. Wow, it brings an amazing energy to the camp. They received their camp shirts today, so tomorrow they will all turn into a sea of purple! I have a wonderful group of kids again this year. There are plenty of familiar faces, and they are all excited to come and say hello. Here are a few pictures of them from this morning's activities. After I taught a model lesson, four of the Chinese teachers took turns doing twenty minute practice activities. They persevered through high humidity during a mid-morning tropical rain. Every year I am so proud of the teachers that I coach. Imagine having to teach a lesson in front of 35 children and ten teachers in another language with an expert in that language watching and writing an evaluation of your methods and delivery! It takes a lot of courage.
